Plant care 

This week we brought our rubber tree into the classroom.  We re-potted our tree and cleaned it's leaves. Looking after indoor plants is a great way to introduce care of the environment activities to small children and toddlers. If you have indoor plants this is fantastic to do at home. If you don't have any indoor plants perhaps it's time to pick up one or two for your child  to care for and observe?

• November is All Religions month at HCA. If you or someone you know would be willing to share with a class, a division, or multiple groups either in person, via zoom, or through a pre- recorded clip, please email jmyers@holychildacademy.com and we will make it as easy as possible.

Linvilla Thanksgiving Pie Fundraiser

Order forms were sent home yesterday for the HCA Linvilla Thanksgiving Pie Fundraiser. Help support our school and help the EC students win a pajama day!

We work on our fine motor skills string our owls onto their string branches. 

 We also worked on our visual perception skills doing owl matching puzzles.

Leaf Day

We really enjoyed our leaf walk in the neighborhood. We collected 

 little leaves of  red, orange, yellow and brown.

Of course we had to throw some leaves up in the air!!!

Back in class we used our magnifying glasses to explore all the colors and parts of a leaf.

Sensory leaf bags.

We mixed oil, water and colors together with our leaves and watched the swirl around.

We loves our bags some much we had to give them a hug.
