It has been so amazing to see the changes in your children in just a few weeks! We are really starting to work well in small and in large group. The are working together doing lessons. They are following directions better. It is wonderful to watch their minds solves problems and explore the work around them!
Who is Toby?
He is our Friendly talking Toucan! He sings to us. He calls out our names in the morning. And he will even eat snack with us sometimes.
New Rug
Our new rug arrived this Thursday and you would have thought it was Christmas! They love it. They were rolling on it, jumping up and down on it, someone even tried to hug it!
Finger play
To help the children with their sign language and fine motor skills we use finger puppets. They had to try and make each finger "dance." It's not as easy as you may think.
Pumpkin Time
We painted pumpkins, we cleaned pumpkins, and were turned them into "pumpkin" heads.
Can't wait until later this month when we will be doing some pumpkin tasting.
Work time
Can you see their minds working? They are working together to explore and learn. They are so happy when they can figure things out all by themselves or with a friend.
Magnet Science
How does it do that Ms. Kerno? Can I try Ms. Kerno? I Love hearing those questions!
Mystery Box
You can't see it, you can't hear it, or even smell it, you have to use your little hands and minds to figure out what your holding in the box.
Walking in a line
We can do it, well almost.... but we are going to keep try! Just don't look at the line one the floor. Ha ha
Garden Time
We have loved exploring our Holy Child gardens. Look we have yummy tomatoes. Sorry if your children are coming home smelling like basil. We like rubbing it between our hands and smelling it. I will try and get pictures next time.
Dancing Milk Science
One bowl of milk, a few drops of food color, and Q-tip dipped in dish soap and you to can make milk dance.
We had so much fun reading and reenacting Harold and the Purple Crayon together. It is a story young or old (and in between) can enjoy.
